Tomorrow is the Big Day!

I know there are lots of excited little ones (and some anxious parents) getting ready for their first day of Kindergarten!  I look forward to a wonderful year together and want you, as parents, to feel comfortable coming to me with worries or concerns for your child.  “Firsts” are almost  always difficult for most but I find that after two weeks we have all settled into a comfortable, stable routine and everything starts to flow more smoothly.  To help things flow smoothly tomorrow please make sure I know how your child is getting home.  I have a chart by the door that I will write their name on as to whether they are a car rider, walker, or bus rider.  If your child rides the bus please put the bus number by their name.  I really enjoyed getting to see most of you Thursday night at “Meet the Teacher” night.  I will see you in the morning!

Things You Can Do For “Meet the Teacher Night”

To make the first day of school go a bit smoother, helping your child fix their supply box and having it ready for “Meet the Teacher” is a great way to start!  Here is what needs to be opened and in their box:  one box of crayons, scissors, one bottle of glue and one glue stick, two sharpened pencils.  We also have a snack every day and if you would like to bring a box of one of these snacks that would be great, also!  Snacks Kindergarteners enjoy:  Teddy Grahams, Fruit Roll- Ups, fruit snacks, Nilla Wafers, Cheez-Its, Goldfish, pudding cups, popsicles…these are just a few ideas, anything would be wonderful.  I can’t wait to see you all there.  I am really looking forward to a great year!
